Our Christmas Decor

Before packing our Christmas decorations away, I thought you might like to see some of them.
*
My father made the beautiful green wooden Christmas tree with the red candles on every branch (or almost every branch). When Dad gave it to me all the pieces were where they belonged! If you see anyone running around with a tiny red candle, grab it and send it to me cuz we all know where it came from, right?

I hope your Christmas was as special as you are!

Shaddy,

I love the tree your father made - what a treasure. And that Santa with the curly-q beard... he's a hoot!

I hope your Christmas was merry.

i LOVE all of your Santas. When my dad was in rehab, I decorated his window sill with greenery, ornaments and 2 country Santas. They now perch proudly on my mantel as a reminder of the miracle that Christ performs and how love never dies. My dad, is thankfully still with us today :) Your blog has given me motivation to post some of my decorations before I pack them away. Hope you don't mind if I copy! Merry Christmas my friend!

These are really great decorations! I especially like the leaning evergreens and the moose with skis. We don't have anything as cute as your decorations. We barely got up our little three foot tree this Christmas. And since it's a fake tree, we're probably going to leave it up for a quite a while to make up for the lack of other decorations. LOL

Lenore: We've accumulated these decorations over many, many years. It's sure fun to bring them out every December!

Gully: I'm glad you got a kick out of our "stuff."

Zelda: I appreciate the tree my father made more every year. It must have taken him quite a while to do all the steps necessary to create and finish it.

Annie: Please do! I'd love to see them!

Mary Anne: I must give a lot of the credit for our collection of Christmas decorations to my husband. He can't seem to get enough of that kind of thing. Whereas, I can be content with just a few decorations, he always wants more. I must say, once we have them in our home, I enjoy them as much as he does.

I loved each of these pieces for the uniqueness embodied in them as individuals and the uniqueness of the collection as a whole.

How lovely that you have the tree your father made. That must bring a bit of joy to you each year.

Merry Christmas Shaddy! Thank you for inviting us into your home.

dayner: Thank you for taking the time to visit and comment. I hope your last few days of 2009 are filled with memories of a great year.

Dee: It's so great to hear from you. Thank you for visiting and reading my blog! I wish you a splendid 2010 brimming with peace, joy and love.

darksculptures: We really love our Christmas decorations. We keep some of the items out all year round. We figure that if we like looking at them, why pack them away?

Natasha: I'll hate to put them back in their boxes but we'll have to do that fairly soon.
