Stop Fidgeting; Try Feedjiting Instead

I have a live traffic feed on my blog that tells me the city and state or country of those who have been and are presently visiting my website. It's in real time so I can view what's happening at any given second.

As you can see, my blog is visited by people from all over the world. I've never even heard of some of the countries. My blog has nothing grand to offer so I'm perplexed.

Occasionally, I've noticed that my blog is sometimes visited when a person enters a subject in their search engine that I've touched on at some time in one of my posts. This is explained in the listing. I also know that blog owners can travel from their blog to others in their "neighborhood" by simply going to the top of their blog page and clicking "next blog."

Does anyone know other ways that internet surfers end up at my blog or are directed to it? I'm really curious to know.

I just stumbled upon your blog a few days ago for the first time & I honestly can't remember exactly how. It's likely it was from following a trail of interesting comments on other blogs that brought me here, though.

Okay. I didn't realize that my comments on other blogs could work as a magnet. Awesome! And thanks again for visiting here. It's fun to know who's reading what I write.

Just a "HI YOU" from readers is great and appreciated.

I just started a 10 day trial to see if I want to pay $10 a month to see who is visiting. I have wondered how my visit numbers keep going up, while I have only 2 followers and several more new blog friends. It seems the post numbers are greater than the number of feedjit visits. Thanks to Kirsten for explaining how that might happen. It's wonderful you have visitors from so many far away places. It is such a great feeling to have folks respond to what you write!

Parrot: Who is your 10-day trial with? I'm not paying anything for Feedjit.

Where are you getting the visit numbers? I don't have that, only the ongoing locations of visitors.

Responses are wonderful. I rarely read a blog without commenting but then I enjoy writing while some people may not.

I saw the feedjit feed on your blog and googled it. It took me to the site for it (Feedjit.com) and that's what I am trialing. Where did you get it free?? Visit numbers are a "hit counter" widget I added. It shows on the left side of my blog at the bottom, below the copyright info.
See we all learn from each other!!

Click on the Site Meter at my blog for a free hit counting thingy.

Parrot: I honestly don't remember when, where, how or why I got Feedjit free. I wish I had an answer for you. Personally, I wouldn't have it if I had to pay for it.

Cheryl Peters said...

Gully: Maybe I will.

Parrot: I think I figured out how you can get FREE Feedjit. On the page that advertises Feedjit Pro, look down on the bottom of that page. Click on free widgets.

That worked great! Thank you very much!! I'm going to look at them both side by side for a day to see if they differ. Then cancel the trial. But why offer the same thing free that you are selling??
(Maybe because of people like me??-lol)

PS Shaddy- The article I wrote in February about my sister (Robin's Journey) has been accepted for publication in the Transplant Chronicles. My first published work!! It stemmed from your prompt to write about our brothers and sisters. I hope you will visit my site and have a look around if you have time!

Parrot: I just came back from reading "Robin's Journey." I left you a comment below your story post.

Regarding Feedjit, I'm glad I was able to help you. Let me know if you notice much difference between the free Feedjit and Feedjit Pro, merely out of curiosity. I won't pay $10/month no matter what!

Congratulations again on being published in Transplant Chronicles. What a fabulous accomplishment for you and what a joy for your extended family.

P.S. You're on my blog list, right where you belong.

Isn't it fun seeing the world on your Feedjit badge? I love it. I think this is what I love most about blogging - meeting people from around the world. Congrats on the success of Paper Cut Screams honey, you deserve it. It's fabulous!

Happy Easter Shaddy dear. I hope your day is wonderful.

Sarie: We have made some great friends from all over, haven't we. What would we do without Lia from England?

Thank you for your compliments.

I hope you're jumping with joy like the Easter bunny today.

'My blog has nothing grand to offer...' I disagree. It has the essence of you showing through with every word, every picture and every comment you make. I am so glad to have found it and your friendship. Happy Easter!

Thanks for the positive strokes. If you like what I've been doing, then I'll take that as a green light to continue on.

Happy Easter!
