I'm Officially In

********It's official. I removed the entry form for the Prairie Triathlon at North Pointe from my bulletin board and filled it out this afternoon. Tomorrow, I'll turn it and the entry fee in at North Pointe.

You might wonder what motivated me to decide to go ahead and just do it. I have three good reasons. I've already swam 350 yards, biked 17 miles and ran 3 miles consecutively on three occasions, May 23rd, May 29th and again this morning.

I enjoyed my training session this morning more than I ever imagined I could. I've got the right mindset so that competing next Saturday will be fun. My goal is to complete the triathlon and enjoy every minute of it. I'm not concerned about what place I come in although I may surprise myself. In the past, I always have.
*
From now until next Saturday, I plan on taking it easy. I'll do an easy workout tomorrow and again on Tuesday afternoon. On Friday, perhaps I'll take a walk and swim just a few laps.
*
I hope the weather cooperates on event day. Today, the temperature was in the seventies which I prefer over higher numbers.
*
I leave you with the words on the entry form: LIVE THE EMOTION, FREE YOUR SPIRIT, LIVE LIFE TO THE FITTEST.

JANA: My only concern at this time is the weather on Saturday. I can deal with just about anything but high temperatures, but I'll make the best of whatever presents itself.

Thank you for your kind words.

PARROT: I'll definitely be listening for and hearing your words of encouragement. My total time should be around two hours so I'll have plenty of time to think of all of you who are rooting for me and to use the thoughts to motivate me and enhance my experience.

Thanks so much.
