Shaddy Hits the Bars

I'm hooked on Edy's Fruit Bars. They're very, very tasty and have only 70 or 80 calories per bar! That's unheard of for a food that's so delicious and nutritious as well.
*
Look at the boxes. Vitamin C, Real Fruit, All Natural, Made With Super Fruits--all that on a stick! See why I love them?
*
My favorite flavor is pomegranate, although I buy strawberry bars often too. I'm absolutely thrilled that I can eat three of these fruit bars, one right after the other, and still not consume as many calories as I would if I ate an ice cream treat. The flavor is so intense and refreshing on hot summer days that I can never eat just one.

Edy's Fruit Bars are also available in these flavors: Acai Blueberry, Creamy Coconut, Grape, Lemonade, Lime, Orange & Cream, Pineapple, Tangerine and more. Sugar-free bars are available as well. The bars with cream may have more calories; I'm not sure about that. I do know the pomegranate bars are 70 calories and the strawberry have 80.
*
Try as I may, I can't shake any more bars out of my last two boxes; a trip to the store is definitely a priority later today.
*
Sure we're all grown-ups, at least on the outside, but who can say no to a fruity popsicle in the good old summer time.
*
DO ME A FAVOR, WILL YOU? BUY A BOX OF EDY'S FRUIT BARS, SIT OUT ON THE FRONT PORCH WITH YOUR FAVORITE FLAVOR AND FEEL LIKE A KID ALL OVER AGAIN. I ALMOST FORGOT: KICK OFF YOUR SHOES AND WIGGLE YOUR TOES.

Oh yes please!! Tonight is grocery night but I'm not too sure I've ever seen this brand. Maybe its because I've never looked, or that its not available here in Canada. Anyways, I guess I'll find out soon enough!

CHEERIFIC: Edy's makes lots of ice cream products besides these fruit bars and sells them here in the U.S.

I hope they're available where you shop.

Ohhhh Shaddy girl, if you only knew how addicted I am to the pomegranate fruit bars. OMG. I shall visit the freezer and head for the patio. Good call dear! And what a beautiful night to sit outside too!

I love Edy's Fruit Bars, but they had fallen off my radar screen (like a bunch of other good things, ahem). Thanks for the reminder!

Crikey. I've never heard of them. Next trip to a real grocery store, I'm checking out the frozen aisle.

I love these too!!! And they are really refreshing, especially sitting on the back porch enjoying a perfect sunrise :)

JANA: Good! You'll be glad you did...I promise.

SARIE: I love it!! Our attitudes are excellent. We've got lots of terrifically hot and humid days ahead and also lots of fruit bars to enjoy as well.

ELIZABETH: I envy your overdue reunion with fruit bar ecstasy.

GULLY: ...or I'll have another good reason to get up there for a visit...with a suitcase packed with dry ice and fruit bars alongside the corn-on-the-cob and tomatoes.

ANNIE: If anything could get me up for a sunrise, it'd be a pomegranate fruit bar!

I want one right now, and I have no fruit bars in my freezer!! I must go get some...mmmmmm....

Is enjoying one on my back patio OK?

I added that to my weekly shopping list. Hope our podunk town carries them! If not, it's off to the big city to look.

KATHANINK: If you prefer the back patio to the front porch, that's exactly where you should savor your icy treat. I picked up five boxes so I'm well stocked for the time being!!

PARROT: When I restocked my refrigerator, I noticed Dole brand fruit bars at the grocery store. I passed them by and picked up Edy's because I know how good they are. I should compare the labels and will when I'm in the mood.

I hope you get your hands on some without traveling too far.

I do love these -- all the berry ones and the coconut especially. yummy!

I also like to freeze fruit and eat it. Frozen bananas (peeled first) are super yummy and of course you can dip them in melted chocolate before freezing them for super decadence.

Frozen grapes and cherries are wonderful too.

Uh oh -- now I'm hungry. Gotta see what's in the freezer....

NATASHA: Darn it. I'm always hungry; especially a couple of hours after supper when I sit down to read.
