| This one's hard to put down. Some parts were more graphic than I like yet I give it two thumbs up. |
The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo is the first book in Stieg Larsson's trilogy. The second is The Girl Who Played With Fire and the final installment is The Girl Who Kicked The Hornet's Nest.
The first book in the trilogy received these reviews:
USA Today--"Mesmerizing...imagine the movies of Ingmar Bergman crossed with Thomas Harris's novel The Silence of the Lambs."
Fresh Air (NPR)--"A super-smart amalgam of the corporate corruption tale, legal thriller and dysfunctional-family psychological suspense story."
I plan to read the complete trilogy.
If you read any of these books, I'd like to get your opinions.

I've read the first two in the Larsson trilogy and I have loved them. They move quick, keep my attention and don't like to put them down. I've really enjoyed them both and look forward to the third book! I've read that the third one is best, but who knows, right?

I just bought the Girl with the Dragon Tattoo but haven't started it yet. Don't tell us what happens in it...
I heard that it was a little hard to get into, but once you do, impossible to put down.
I have picked up, The Girl with the Dragon Tatoo three times and put it back down each. This might be a good selection for me to listen to on audio instead of read. Audio books are great for the treadmill and this is one where I can listen to it and not need to take notes because it is outside my genre.
Postmistress sounds wonderful and sad.

I haven't read either of these, but The Postmistress sounds right up my alley. I love WWII history, and I have a special fondness for sad stories.
