Three Enlightening Books

I've read three enlightening books recently.  Actually, I haven't finished Sarah's Key by Tatiana De Rosnay.  The other two books are Little Bee by Chris Cleave and The Help by Kathryn Stockett.

If you want light reading, these books aren't for you.  Every one of these books tells a story of the horror that humans have carried out against other human beings.  I think we need to know and we need to remember even when the memories are painful.

All of these books are extremely well-written.  I recommend them to all of you.  In spite of the emotionally shocking elements, I'm quite certain you'll be glad you invested your reading time in them.

I agree, we need to remember, even when it's painful. I'm glad you let us know about these, I will be checking them all out. Thank you Shaddy.

Have you read The Historian yet? If not, I have a copy you can have :)

Hope your Saturday is wonderful! Especially now that the sun came out :)

Love,
Sari

SARIE: No, I haven't read The Historian and I'd love to borrow your copy.

Yes, the sunshine and warmth is amazing. I've actually been sweating when I sit in the sun!!

I will put it in the mail for you dear! It was given to me with the instruction to pass it on when I was done :) so I chose you to pass it on to you. It's made it all the way here from North Carolina from a client of mine. A well-traveled book, lol.

I know! I just woke up from a little nap next to a sunny window ( yes the sun has set, it was a 4 hour nap ) and now I'm sweating too. Guess I don't need this big sweatshirt, huh?

SARIE: Thank you so much for sending The Historian to me!! I truly appreciate you.

Going from freezing to sweating so quickly is challenging.

LENORE: That's for sure my friend! Happy weekend and upcoming week, Lenore!!

Well, now. Looks as if my computer is once again allowing the occasional comment.

I read The Help, but not the others.

Hmmm...more books for the To Be Read pile, which grows daily!
