Don't Wait

On New Year's Day, I opened my 2012 calendar.

As with all calendars I've ever used, when I lifted the cover, there was January.  That was fine.  I'd surely have been disappointed if one of the other twelve months had appeared first.

I hung the calendar on the wall and admired the boats in the harbor.  My eyes traveled down to the words under the scene.

I like quotes.

This one, written by I don't know who, threatened me at first.  The challenge of the words momentarily paralyzed me.

A few seconds later, I turned and went about my day considering the quote.  My year will be what I make of it.  Waiting doesn't work; doing does.

I love the quote. And the picture! A great way to start the new year. I'm going to have to get me a calendar with quotes, or maybe I can just share yours this year again. PS Hope you had an awesome birthday.

Perfect! I love this quote, and I'm glad you reminded me of it. Sometimes I feel like hiding and waiting, but that'll never work. Your quote for January is just what I needed to see today. Love your calendar Shaddy. Pretty! I love quotes too.

Especially yours at the end: "waiting doesn't work, doing does"

Brilliant, my dear.

LENORE: Running into a shark would definitely dampen my enthusiasm. I'll promise to check the waters before I leap!!!

LINDA: I hope to share the remaining 11 quotes on my calendar if I don't go off on some crazy tangent before year's end.

SARIE: I think we are all tempted to hide and wait at times. Sometimes we need that down time in preparation for doing something unexpected and marvelous.

On your mark, get set, GO!
(When the time comes, we'll be ready...and we won't need Cialis!!!!).
