The Things of Spring

I love the beautiful color of this proud robin's breast.  He has a handsome profile too, don't you think?

See those long things hanging on our river birch?

They eventually get tired of hanging around and drop.

Maple trees work hard to reproduce too.  These beautiful lime green casings hold precious seeds.

.
Tons of these maple seedlings are growing in our front yard.  After another mowing or two, they should be gone.  I feel bad that I can't allow them to grow and thrive.

Look at these cute Crimson King maple leaves.

Nature works her wonders in creating life while we go about ours.

Here's a twig that didn't survive this past winter.  Strong winds sweep the lifeless out to make room for the new growth.

Happy day!  I love it.  Look who joined me at ground level!

P.S.  I love comments of all kinds.  It's SO fun to know who's paid me a visit!  Even a simple HI is nice.

awwwww, your robin friend is a sweetie. I love how she's keeping an eye on you and your camera.

Spring is certainly coming to life in your world! I hope it all survives these couple of freezing nights. I'm looking forward to pictures from your yard this spring. I bet it'll be even more gorgeous than last year!

Happy Friday dear Shaddy. Make it great! I know you will. :)

SARIE: Lon covered several of our flowers and grasses last night. We couldn't cover everything but hopefully all will be well.

Have fun with Russ and Richie this Easter weekend!!

Great pics! Especially your last little robin.

Here's something weird. If I come into your blog via Firefox, I can't leave a comment because the funny words to type don't show up in the box. If I come in via Chrome (like I did now) I see the funny words and can leave a comment.

Anyhow, happy spring!

LINDA: I'm so glad you're getting sunshine. It makes any day 75.35% better based on my most recent calculations.

I didn't know you tagged me. Does that me I'm "it?"
