13 Things Mentally Strong People Don't Do by Amy Morin

Several months ago, I received a newsletter from my bank with a list of "13 Things Mentally Strong People Don't Do." compiled by Amy Morin. I put several of these "things" here on my blog in monthly posts during 2014 and am continuing to do so this year.

I was thrilled when I received an email from Amy Morin a couple of weeks ago. She asked me if I'd like a copy of her book which goes deeper into the 13 Things That Mentally Strong People Don't Do. Of course, I replied that I'd love a copy. Sure enough, a few days later, a bright red, spanking new copy was delivered to my door.

Inside the front cover, Amy wrote me this sweet note.

I love being able to put a face to the author of this book. Here's Amy with her credentials and contact information.

I'll put this handy list in front of me at my work station.

Best wishes to Amy. Her invaluable knowledge regarding mental strength is, just that, invaluable.

Who wouldn't benefit from reading this book?

Get yours ASAP and start getting your act together, mentally.

Do mentally strong people become addicted to coming back here to solve yet another Captcha Challenge Shaddy? I wrote a comment about the Post and went back to the Post to check something out and lost the comment completely. Because of losing the comment it was right back to yet (my second) another Captcha Challenge. I am getting very good at them Shaddy. My trick is to seriously 'squint' at them. Then I was just 'timed out' and yet another THIRD Captcha Challenge awaited and YES I won again. Winning the Captcha Challenges is becoming routine for me.

I did not take written notes about each of the 13 pointers so I will comment on Number 9 .. Mentally Strong People DO NOT resent the success of other people. Colin Cowherd of ESPN did a long review of this success theory and stressed that to really succeed you have to admire and to possess and to embrace the victories of others.

Nifty that you received personal contact from (is it) Amy. I too have had my own heroes and honor and embrace their successes. Number 9 is very important.

You know Shaddy .. it seems to me as if some of these 13 pointers are built into some of us .. as in part of our DNA .. part of our genes. Some of them come naturally to some of us.

Smiles To YOU and Thanks for a nice Post Shaddy ..

I consider myself mentally strong, but perhaps it's just stubborness?
Number 9 is not a downfall for me--it's a treasure chest full of writing prompts.
