Challenge #9: Mentally Strong People Don't Resent Other People's Success

Amy Morin instructs us in her book, 13 THINGS MENTALLY STRONG PEOPLE DON'T DO:

"Challenge #9: It takes strength of character to feel genuine joy and excitement for other people's success. Mentally strong people have this ability. They don't become jealous or resentful when others succeed (although they may take close notes on what the individual did well). They are willing to work hard for their own chances at success, without relying on shortcuts."

Colin Cowherd is a sports opinion radio and television personality on ESPN. A year or so ago he told a riveting story about a man he met in the Dallas Airport. Colin asked the man about his success. The man said flatly that you MUST celebrate the success of others. It was a phenomenal story. I wish I had it recorded. .. Smiles .. Cap in Hong Kong ..

Let's see ... shall I be jealous and envious, or shall I applaud and delight in the success and happiness of others? Hmmm ... I choose to applaud! Smiles from Patti, back in Alaska ...
