I read the book The Hours by Michael Cunningham. I copied the sentence above on this piece of paper and it sits beside my laptop.
It's a wonderful reminder to me that being alive is amazing in itself. Everything else is less significant. I'm comforted by the message wrapped up in these few words.
I plan to take more time focusing on simply being alive with no thoughts of the future or the past. It'll be a challenge but I believe I'm ready.
How about you? Do you pause and let yourself simply inhale and exhale, oblivious to everyday stress?
simple yet profound, Shaddy!
ReplyDeleteGreetings to you~
xo & much love as always!
LENORE: My thoughts exactly!!
ReplyDeleteOh so simple, oh so true. I SAY I'm gonna simply inhale and exhale but I haven't mastered the part about being oblivious to stress yet. I need to work on that :)
ReplyDeleteSARIE: All we can do is try. We can't escape from stress completely, but if we practice putting it aside several times each day, we're better for it.
ReplyDeleteI hope you're having a good week. Today was a fairly decent day, weatherwise. I shed my jacket during my lunch break.
Will you be watching American Idol this evening?
