And Now...Heeeere's July!

How can it be? The 4th of July is this coming Sunday? In my time zone, I've already been plunged head first into the seventh month of this year for nine hours, regardless of whether I was ready or not.

Do you appreciate uninvited guests? Do you make room for brash intruders with dignity and poise?

The simple thought of July's arrival exasperates me. If I'd followed my initial impulses, I'd have turned her around, given her a swift kick in the hind end and pushed her back at least a good four weeks. Fortunately, as you all have come to know, I'm much too sophisticated and morally correct to be so rude and selfishly inconsiderate. (Right!)

Instead of nailing her in the behind, I drew my shoulders back, tossed my head to clear my senses and asked her if I could welcome her properly on my blog. July nodded amiably and posed demurely. Do take time to linger over her photographed features above.

So, my friends, let's gather our chagrin and hold it behind us as we meet and greet the new month of July with all the grace we can muster. Go on now, it's the right thing to do.

SARIE: Happy July to you!!

I agree that our weather has been fine, absolutely wonderful to be more exact.

Your words, "God, I love your writing...." mean more to me than you realize, I'm certain of that. You make me love what I'm doing even more than I do already.

Thanks, Sarie. You keep me bouncing along.

I would have liked to given July a swift kick and sent her packing, too. After reading your post I think she just might have some lovely surprises for me if I open myself to her and take your approach of greeting and grace.
As Ann would say, "a very fine piece of writing!"

JANA: I like your attitude and I reckon we'll step into August with some fine memories of July to ponder.

Thank you for the compliment.

PARROT: I'm glad summer will be finally starting for you in Oregon. I should stop focusing on the passing of time like you. It's a negative thought and who needs those!!

I'm always happy to see July roll around. Beautiful and I were married this month. It's a summer month with all the heat that you want after a cold winter. It holds the exact middle day of the year. I could go on and on. I hope your July turns out fabulous.

WALK: Happy Anniversary to you and your beautiful wife, Beautiful.

I don't have anything against July to be perfectly honest; I just was surprised that it arrived before I had time to see it coming.

I hope your July is all you would like it to be, especially your anniversary celebration. You will be celebrating; a hopeless romantic like you will revel in the opportunity to show your love and appreciation. I have no doubt about that.

July! NO! I'm not ready.

Time moves from future to past with such a fuzzied flurry. How precious each moment is and what a reminder to enjoy them fully.

Happy 4th, Shaddy.
