I'd Rather Water Elephants Than Flowers

How much water isn't too much for flowers?

It seems I tend to overwater.

Then I hold back and probably don't water them enough.

I love my yard and my flowers but I get very frustrated when it comes to keeping them hydrated.  These pictures were taken shortly after we purchased these hanging planters.  Presently, the trio doesn't look quite so nice.

Hopefully, I'll get the hang of it before it's too late.

I love your blog Shaddy....

These are so pretty! I love the hanging planters. I'm with ya on the watering - I'll water when things appear dry, but I never know how much is too much. Both of our yards have pretty things growing, so we must be doing something right!

Enjoy your Tuesday night dear. Fingers crossed that the nasty storms stay away....
Love,
Sarie

The flowers look nice now and promise more to come, but from the title of your post I was sure yoou were reading "Water for Elephants" and resented putting it down to take care of yard chores.

GULLY: Actually, I'm not reading Water For Elephants presently, but did read it a while back. The title did pop into my mind for some reason when I was thinking about watering my flowers, thus, the title of my blog.

I think you'd be proud of me if you could see all the bending over and picking up I'm doing in our yard!! Nature sure knows how to make a mess of our nice green grass, letting our trees drop all manner of propagating objects, here, there and everywhere, not to mention all the mushrooms due to the excess of moisture lately.
