I found these rustic pencils at a little shop in Door County. The acorns were scattered under our Pin Oak tree in the backyard. I love bringing the outdoors back inside with me.
I accidentally published this before I was finished.
As you can see, I've quite a collection of nature's castaways. The purple finch was at the birdfeeder that hangs just three feet from my desk chair. He's defying me to try to get him in the house!!!
That purple finch just wanted in on the Scrabble Scramble. He thought it was something to eat. Great pictures! Are you going to do NaNoWriMo this year?
SARIE: That finch was looking right at me! I can't believe the birds that don't seem to be bothered although I'm sitting only about three feet from the feeder. It's pretty awesome to observe them so intimately.
BELLY B: Thanks for stopping in and for your sweet comment. Come again.
Sometimes I think we are too large for birds to see us. They are looking for things to eat, and people are way too big. Cool collections and artistic arrangements, Shaddy.

I love your collections! Nothing like a jar full of nuts!
I used to have those same pencils, too.
Thanks for sharing!

NATASHA: I'll have to get a sharp knife to sharpen those pencils or maybe an axe!!
LINDA: I haven't decided about NaNoWriMo yet. I doubt that I will but I may have a change of heart when November comes closer. How about you?
Your little finch looks like he's smiling for the camera. I love your collections and the photos you take of them :)
Have a great Tuesday dear!
I love the acorns!!! Very pretty and adorable.
