Challenge #7: Mentally Strong People Don't Dwell On The Past
MENTALLY STRONG PEOPLE:
The 13 Things They Avoid
by Amy Morin
Today, I'd like to focus on the 7th challenge, which is:
Mentally strong people Do Not Dwell on the Past.
Quoting Amy Morin, "There is strength in acknowledging the past and especially in acknowledging the things learned from past experiences--but a mentally strong person is able to avoid miring their mental energy in past disappointments or in fantasies of the "glory days" gone by. They invest the majority of their energy in creating an optimal present and future."
I will present challenge #8 next month here on my blog.
If you're interested in learning about all 13 points in depth, get a copy of Amy Morin's book, 13 THINGS MENTALLY STRONG PEOPLE DON'T DO.

You have me curious. I might have to get that book. I don't think I live in the past....but I do enjoy the memories. We were always brought up to think forward but don't forget the past. Love your blog.
Jackie: Thank you so much.
It ends up being in-the-now is the place to be. IF you are in the now you are neither in the past nor in the future. I have to admit I have so much in my past that I really like to remember that I do luxuriate in the past. I think the problem is being in the negative past. NOT a good place .. Smiles ..
