My Auntie Babe and Uncle Allen

My mother had two sisters, the older, Marcie and the younger, Babe. Babe's real name is Dorothy, but being the youngest of the three girls, she was nicknamed, Babe, and it stuck.

Babe and her husband, Allen, have been loyal fans of my writing ever since I began sharing it. They think I'm awesome and can't understand why I haven't been published yet!

My father passed away in 2000 and my mother in 2007. I miss both of them more than I can say and will always cherish the countless memories I have of them.

Babe and Allen have helped fill the void that losing my parents has created. I greatly appreciate the e-mail messages we send back and forth, Babe's comments on my blog and their combined interest in my NaNoWriMo novel (which I'm sharing with them as I edit it).

Allen and Babe have family and friends of their own yet always find time to include time for me in their lives.

So, this post is my way of thanking two people who mean a lot to me.

I'm sorry to hear that you have come down with a cold that laid you low for awhile.
Am pleased to hear that you are picking up, but don't over do it at the gym. You do work hard and I can see why when you put up photos. I have to get back in the pool soon, can't say I am looking forward to it. I really should take a leaf out of your book.

How wonderful to have such grand, kind and caring people in your life. It is one of the great things about blogs, that we the ordinary of the World get to honour the people who make are lives so special.
They do sound like wonderful people to share your life with and get encouragement from.
Much love'

Oh nearly forgot to say.
Wow 2 log burners fabulous, your home must be very cosy. I love those night lights, they give off a lovely glow, I can see why you keep them on.

Lia: You are so sweet to write such a long comment today. I know you often don't feel well and yet you are always so kind.

Living in England, you have a different way of saying things from us in the U.S. It's always fun to read your words. I especially enjoyed this expression of yours today: "I really should take a leaf out of your book."

You're one of a kind and please know that I appreciate you very much.

Shaddy ypu are so kind and have brought tears to our eyes. We have always loved you and admired your talents and kindness. If we have filled the void of your MOM and Dad we are so glad, because I know you miss them terribly. We are always here for you, LOVE AUNTIE BABE
P.S. I do worry about you though, that you take on too much and wish you would just kick back and relax, and enjoy your Birthday tomorrow.

Ahhh, this is all just SO SWEET! Since I've been reading your blog, Shaddy, I've noted the posts from Auntie and they always seemed so warm and supportive. How nice to now have pictures of your aunt and uncle to put to the comments.

And: HAPPY BIRTHDAY A DAY EARLY!

Natasha: Ever since I started taking writing classes in September of 2006 and began doing a lot of writing, Babe and Allen have encouraged me. It's been great.

Thanks for the birthday wishes.
