FLASH 55 CHALLENGE
I received a challenge from a fellow blogger, Parrot Writes. She presented the challenge based on the following incident which occurred in her life last week:
"We are traveling 60 mph on the interstate going home from our Ashland stay. Suddenly we see brake lights four or five cars ahead of us and watch a minivan swerve off to the shoulder of the highway and slide to an immediate stop, gravel flying. A young woman flings open the driver's door, jumps out, runs around the front of the van, and yanks open the passenger's door. We were past her before we could see what caused her to stop so suddenly. In 55 words, what just happened?"

MY 55 WORDS REGARDING WHAT I BELIEVE HAPPENED AFTER THE YOUNG WOMAN YANKED THE PASSENGER'S DOOR OPEN:
Ryan's boa constrictor has already escaped from its cage. Cassidy jerks the concealed weapon from the belly band under her jacket and stares momentarily while her son's pet, without pausing, instinctively wraps its length around her leg and begins to contract. “I‘m sorry, Ryan,” Cassidy gasps. She holds her breath, aims and fires. Trembling, she sobs.

(Like I said in my previous post, you never know what you're going to get when you stop in here! It's been said that great minds work in mysterious ways. Forgive me for having one of those minds or go ahead and laugh if you know better. Also, please forgive me for speaking of snakes. I know they're not loved by many. My son had one for a few years which I suspect prompted me to imagine and create the scenario above.)

Way to go Shaddy! That would be traumatic!! You did a great job with this one.
Wow! Talk about expecting the unexpected! This is great....
Parrot Writes: My imagination initially flashed on a scenario involving an elderly person in the passenger's seat having some a heart attack. That idea seemed too possible so my thoughts turned to a more bizarre event.
Natasha: I'm glad you liked it. I didn't fabricate a reason regarding how the cage came unlatched in my story, but I made it happen!! Wouldn't it be horrific to be driving along the interstate and have a boa constrictor staring at you with its head hovering above its cage!
My heart skipped a beat Shaddy!
But I'll be just fine...I need a glass of water now~
Enjoy the weekend!!
Lenore: I'm sorry I caused you alarm. A glass of water is a fine remedy for emotional trauma. I'm sure you'll be fine shortly. You absolutely must be with the long weekend ahead.
Nice one! Everyone had great stories out of that challenge.
Sorry I missed a few post. I had an altercation with a flight of stairs so I've been out of commission for a few days.
Wow! This one came out of nowhere! I love it. I wasn't expecting this twist at all. Great job.
I'm sorry I missed this too! But I'll try to catch up next week.
